4.4.9.Tablet as a remote controller for VA #

A tablet (Android/ iPad) can be paired with the distance vision chart in the testing room, or to the patient’s computer in remote consultation, to be used for the remote control of visual acuity optotypes.

 

The menu in the tablet includes all the icons of the tools menu and also shows the updated value of Visual Acuity of the row of letters isolated or selected by the red lines (AV of 0.63 Dec in the example above).

The letters that make up the selected row are also shown (K, S, N, H and D in our example). This function is very useful for the eye-care professional, because during the refraction he would no longer have to turn his head to look at the screen where the optotypes are shown at distance, to check what the patient sees.
